PRS Guitar Buying Guide

If you have been playing guitar for any length of time, chances are that you have heard of the legendary Paul Reed Smith guitar lines. Used by an infinite list of recognized players, these guitars are polished and incredible. Should you be looking for a new high end guitar, well, you are in luck. Today I am going to write about three of my favorite PRS guitars.

The first PRS I ever purchased was actually more recently, and was the Paul Reed Smith Mira. This guitar has incredible tone, is very versatile with coil taps, and comes in at a relatively cheap price compared to some of the other models. The Mira is light weight, compact, and easy to bring on the road. The PRS Mira has incredible tone and can really take your setup to the next level.

The most sought after PRS, by contrast to the Mira, is by far and away the PRS Custom 22 and Custom 24, which have been around since the beginning. The Custom 22 and 24 models from PRS are probably some of the best selling guitars from PRS. The Custom 22 is incredible when it comes to tone, and is also a versatile guitar depending on the type of style you are going for. Overall, this is another great model from Paul Reed Smith that you should consider in your purchasing process.

The last model that I do not want to disclude from this list is the Paul Reed Smith McCarty, which is known more for its style as compared to the tone or pickups of the previous two models. The McCarty is amazing in terms of tone and will surprise you in terms of sound. I suggest the maple top with bird inlays as far as personal preference, but it really comes down to what you are looking for.

So now that you know the big names from PRS, it is time to go out and try one!

The best way to find the perfect guitar is with careful practice and selection.
